Members of the Ecology Club received firsthand lessons on the Hackensack River, its marshes and more than 250 species of birds from the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission on October 1. NJMC Boat Tour Narrator Angelo Urato and the club members are pictured between two rail bridges along the Hackensack River, moments before spotting a Peregrine Falcon on the Route 3 Eastbound Bridge. Peregrine are on the State of New Jersey's Endangered and Threatened species list.
